Perimeter Storm Water Drainage Systems
Most all cities and municipalities now require a Duel storm water drainage system.
A duel system has very good benefits, Instead of loading the perimeter drainage system with an uneccessary volume of roof water, (in some cases, depending on the roof size) could amount to 60 + % of additional volume to the perimeter drainage system.
By separating these 2 systems, The perimeter system Has a much longer life expectancy, And functions far better by allowing just ground water to filter through the soil, through the drain rock, and enter the perforated holes in the drain pipe. Also picking up the rising water, as the ground water table rises. All perimeter drainage systems will have cleanouts at all corners of the building, this will allow for future cleaning of the system when required.
The roof water system, Which is usually the system that collects the largest volume of water. Is contained in a solid piped system, collecting rainwater from the roof , And directing the rainwater into the solid piped system via leeders, or gutter downpipes, located at various areas of the home. All roof water systems will have cleanouts at all corners of the building, this will allow for future cleaning of the system when required.
